Our purpose with the construction of this site is to give anybody, with any point of view, the chance for expression and to profile themselves in this fantastic music and the joyful POPCORN-OLDIES-PARTIES, along with it.
Also we're trying to maintain the real and original purpose of this rare 60's black soul music.
Popcorn Oldies are invented in the late sixties, by DJ's Gilbert Goovaert (the original "Groove" in Ostend - Belgium) and the brothers Franken (Gerry & Luke - dancing "the Popcorn" - Vrasene - Belgium).

Popcorn music is more than music alone! It's a lifestyle!

Popcorn oldies music is unique in his kind. The way of life, the way from dancing, the parties, and so on.

Popcorn is a lifestyle from witch all of us, who ever they may be, should be able to enjoy it completely till the top.

As you can see, this already is a whole lot, but we are going further than that!

Why?

This site shows clearly that we are independent, as well from the dj’s as from the dancing’s or eventually from other websites in this genre.

We make propaganda, anyway or anyhow from whom or from whatever, in de good way of the word.

This site is stepping out from the prehistoric way qua ideas and understandings. It ‘s sad that, going to the year 2004, we have to find out that some people in our Popcorn world still keep going the primitive way of life, qua meanings and behaviour from our party people in general.

We ‘re always looking out for new aspects that are why we are working toward evolutions into this site and for cooperation with everybody who puts them open for all these matters.

For information, as you can see, there are links in this site who contain all kinds of the way of life. The reason for this is simple; we work with our mind to keep the Popcorn world as mundane as possible, like it always has been in the passing of time.
